Don't arrive on an empty stomach
Being hungry at Chinese New Year is a recipe for disaster! Before you arrive at a banquet, fill up on something healthy like fruit so that you don't stuff your face like you haven’t eaten for weeks at the dining table!
Cut down on the drinks
Did you know one glass of wine can contain as many as 150 calories? Swap it with a diet cola instead before you raise your glass for a toast!
Hide out in the bathroom
As soon as the food arrives, make tracks for the bathroom. Hide out in there for a while to avoid an onslaught of food. Oh, and while you're there, why not check on your friends' CNY social media posts?
